REDCap and other data collection systems
UCR has extensive experience in working with a range of systems for electronic data capture. This includes commercially available systems such as REDCap, which can be used for academic studies.
In Uppsala, two REDCap versions are available: REDCap Classic and REDCap GCP.
REDCap is a tool for electronic data capture in research studies.
It was developed at Vanderbilt University and has been continuously updated through the REDCap Consortium. Universities and non-profit organisations worldwide contribute to its development.
REDCap enables researchers to create case report forms (CRFs), conduct surveys, manage electronic signatures, and schedule and monitor key study activities such as sampling and study visits.
Validated REDCap GCP
The REDCap GCP version is validated to support studies conducted in accordance with GCP requirements, such as clinical trials of medicinal products and medical devices.
